“ This is my go to with friends when in Guilford. I absolutely love the Spiced Chai Tea, made with almond milk and cinnamon powder on top. Super delicious! I can't enough about the employees, they always so friendly and welcoming. The reason for the 4 star rating- an issue I had this time was 2 incredibly rude women speaking in another language while accusing me of cutting them. I said no habla espanol, only to be to told to "go f myself". Truth is I did not cut in line, my friend and I were ahead of them and I still got treated like crap. They asked for an employee who spoke to them in another language- to which I felt they were taking about me. I was pointed at and that makes me uncomfortable. Other than that, everything was great! It's place I'll continue going to. ”

“ Couldn't resist passing the Marketplace bakery counter. The brownies and chocolate cake we're calling out to our tastebuds. Both were decadent and delicious. There is plenty of street parking and it is conveniently located right in the center of Guilford. They have a huge selection of all kinds of items, but we were focused on following the chocolate aroma. ”

“ Stopped into the Marketplace on the green in Guilford for lunch. What a treasure this place is. My husband is vegan happily they had options for him as well. It's a walk up to the counter and order type of place with many many choices from deli to bakery coffee etc. Plenty of seating indoors and out. I noticed one of the soups of the day was a creamy carrot and dill needless to say I couldn't resist it. It was delicious flavorful and creamy with just the right amount of dill. I asked for the curried chicken salad on a croissant it was so good a little sweet a little spice everything you'd want in a curried chicken salad. My husband went for the house made veggie burger which he absolutely loved. We will definitely return, ”
“ My most memorable meal while in southern Connecticut. This place does everything right. Walk in and you feel the spirit of the old building come to life with the modern touches. What started out as a trek to Jacob's beach ended up with a stop to walk the Guilford green. I hadn't had breakfast and it was already 11:00 am so we ended up stopping in here. This was no ordinary salad. I ordered from the buffet. It is all glass enclosed and the staff serve you whatever you choose. I went for spinach with grilled salmon, stuffed grape leaves, artichoke hearts and baby mozzarella. It was by far the best salad I have had in a long time. Everything was the best of quality and I totally felt like it was worth the price. My aunt and I sat by the window facing the green. It was a great time chatting and enjoying the view. I'd go back in a second if I could to do it all over again. Next time I am in town, I have to try one of their delicious sandwiches and splurge on one of their humongous cookies. ”
